Healthcare App Prototype providing real-time critical data from patient to the patient's family and doctors.

This project was done throughout the Winter/Spring semester of 2020 with my team.

Background

Researching about "Humanizing AI" and how Artificial Intelligence can help intergrade emotions into the ecosystem and understand about human emotions. In the near future, humans and AI will be working together to make a better future for everyone with the latest technology and knowledge. Focusing on the AI in Healthcare and how AI can help with both emotional and physical health, our goal was to create a prototype that will best showcase these scenarios. This project focuses on in-depth research, visualization, scenarios, user experience, and prototypes.

Conducted market research to identify existing scheduling challenges and user preferences. Defined target audience segments and outlined key features based on user needs and market trends.

Primary User

It is essential for the solution to make the patient feel safe and comfortable. If they are uncomfortable with the product, it may cause hostility towards it, and skew measurements of the user. This solution should also augment the patients every day life, allowing growth in their cognitivity, resourcefulness, and self-sufficiency, rather than making the patients feel as though they are being monitored all the time.

Secondary User

The solution should be easy for family and friends of the patient to understand and use, that way they can always be connected with the patient and monitor their habits, vitals, and other like information. This sort of monitoring will give piece of mind to the family and friends, which in turn will allow more self-sufficiency to the patient, and remove unnecessarily coddling.

Tertiary User

The solution should give doctors and other healthcare professionals access to the in-depth data that is collected from the patient. This not only includes vitals and breakdowns of bodily systems, but to specific breakdowns such as blood make up, brain waves, digestive tract information, etc. This will allow the healthcare professionals to quickly see the patient’s state, and whether or not anything is troubling. It also allows for more minute data which would normally be very difficult to measure and monitor, to be monitored accurately and continuously.
